SAE J2534 v5.00, the latest iteration of the standard, provides improved functionality that can multiplex communications over several channels, allowing technicians to reprogram vehicles much faster. It also includes VCI device detection and connection management features that enable technicians with wireless connections to multiple vehicles to securely differentiate, isolate, and authenticate each vehicle connection.
